Manual activities for the Easter holidays!

17 April 2019

On the occasion of Easter, the little ones of our Heididom crèches are happy to present you their adorable creations!
In Montessori pedagogy, manual activities are valued for many reasons!
Our little ones were able to benefit from this activity for:
– Developing their creativity: To create, to make, to be guided by their imagination. Allowing the child to know this feeling of fulfillment from a very young age will develop his confidence in himself and allow him to flourish and build himself serenely.
– Memorizing and understanding: Manual activities can be engaged in pedagogical purposes. They will allow the child to ink things in his mind, to concretely represent the idea he has of it, to listen to the explanations of the accompanist, to memorize them, to understand them and to reproduce them. They allow the child to anchor things in his mind, to concretely represent the idea that he has about them, to listen to the explanations of the accompanist, to memorize them, to understand them and to reproduce them.
– Making sensory discoveries: The variety of supports and tools used to achieve this manual activity make immense the opportunities for sensory discoveries. The different stages, textures, materials allow him to appropriate techniques, ways of doing, feeling and appreciating.
– Developing their concentration: Working with the hand and the mind in a simultaneous way makes it possible to come to full concentration. This concentration will help him to reflect internally.
– Managing their emotions and channelling their energy: Manual activities can be an outlet for the emotional “overflow” of the child. They channel the energy through the release and the sensation of escape they provide and bring a return to calm by the concentration that they require.
– And above all, awaken their sense of ecology by learning the recycling of glass jars, which is essential for the younger generations!
